I am here to tell you that no you are not insane. Every mother has a different story. How our babies were conceived, carried in the womb, brought into the world, fed, cared for, and parented looks different. The main purpose of this site is to let other women and mothers know that they are not alone. Being a parent is so all consuming, joyful, painful, wonderful, and challenging!
When I brought my 1st born home, I was a hot mess, who felt traumatized after my birth experience, but also full of love for my new baby. My nipples were cracked and bleeding. It was confusing, and overwhelming. I cried every day, and consistently felt as if I was failing. I felt like no one understood, and that the problem must have been me. Even at that time, which really wasn’t so long ago, the realities of motherhood were not talked about as openly as they are now.
I am so happy that women and mothers are now beginning to openly share the good, bad, and ugly! It is time we talk about these things, support one another, and cheer each other on through this insane journey called motherhood.
Thank you so much for visiting my page. It is time to keep motherhood, real, raw, and honest.
